The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) president Muhammadu Buhari for constituting a Presidential Implementation Committee on Autonomy of State Legislature and State Judiciary in accordance with the 4th Alteration to the 1999 Constitution.
According to a statement by the Deputy General Secretary of JUSUN, Comrade Placidus Nnamani, the union also applauded the president for the inclusion of Comrade Marwan Mustapha Adamu, president of JUSUN as a member of the committee.
He said for the union, it either Autonomy for the Judiciary at all level or nothing, because that is the only way Judiciary as an arm of government can be strengthen.

Comrade Nnamani Further urged President Buharu to ensure prompt inauguration so that members of the committee can expedite effort in this very inportant assignment.
“We commended President Buhari for including our president Comrade Marwan Mustapha Adamu in a committee for Implementation on Autonomy of State Legislature and State Judiciary in accordance with the 4th Alteration to the 1999 Constitution.
“We also want to commend the President for identifying with us on the struggle for autonomy for Judiciary. You know we have gone to Court and obtained a judgement in favour of the union and since non of the plaintiffs, who are State Governors appeal against the judgement, we had expected them to do the needful but reverse is the case”.
The committee which is headed by Abubakar Malami, SAN, HAGF/Minister of Justice and Senator Ita Enang, Presidential Liaison (NASS), Secretary; is to drive the actualization of the autonomy granted to the legislature and judiciary at the State level.
The committee membership cut across the affected sectors and would be inaugurated soon.
