The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) has urged Kogi state Governor Yahaya Bello to as a matter of urgency negotiate with the striking workers in the state with a view of ending the strike.
National President of JUSUN, Comrade Marwan Mustapha Adamu in a statement said ending the strike would be healthy considering Judiciary been under lock and key for months.
Comrade Marwan said the strike by the workers is legitimate and has the blessings of the national Secretariat of the union.
He said a team of national officers would soon meet with all stakeholders in the state with a view of resolving the impasse.
On the non payment of salaries to JUSUN members in the state, the president frowned at the non release of fund to judiciary by the state government, stressing that has rekindle further the union struggle for Administrative and financial autonomy.
“We want to call on the Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello to urgently address they lingering issues with JUSUN members workers which include non payment of salaries for 5 months.
“We have been watching the situation and the national Secretariat of the union would soon meet with all stakeholders in the state on the matter.
The Judiciary workers in Kogi state have been on strike for almost two months over non payment and other issues which has to do with implementation of 2014 promotion, leave bonus of five years and incremental rate from 2015 .
