The National Union of Postal and Telecommunication Employees (NUPTE) have elected Comrade Buba Nehemiah as the new president to pilot the affairs of the union for the next four years.
Comrade Nehemiah in his acceptance speech assured the members of an all inclusive leadership that would position the union among comity of trade unions in the country.
He further urged members of the union to cooperate with the new executive in their quest to priotise welfare of her members.
On the spate of kidnapping and insecurity in the country, the union appealed to government at all level to step their games by ensuring the protection of lives and properties of Nigerians, especially workers.
Other elected officers of the union are Com. Dele Ojo Adebite Kolade as Deputy President, Com. Benson Ogbeide as Vice President, and Com.Dinatu Umaru – Vice President,
Also, Com. Ghazali S.A was elected Treasurer of the union, Com. Ogbetein Owei Lucky as Auditor, Com. Arogun O. Dapo, Com. Mohammed Abubakar and Com. Mesioye Adeyinka David have all been elected trustees.
