The regional chief of Afreximbank in Nigeria, Kone Abdoulaye on Saturday in Abuja said, the bank is poised in repositioning the African economy through infrastructural engagements.
“It is always a pleasure for me and my colleagues to be with you. We thank you all for your various contributions towards ensuring that Africa is great and a fertile investment landscape for investors. At Afreximbank, we facilitate the enrichment of business climate especially in Nigeria and the subregion.
” Afreximbank quality assurance is what we are developing in Ogun state for inspection, certification and authentification of what is produced in Nigeria to other countries in the subregion and beyond.
“We are looking to build more quality assurance centres across Nigeria and the Africa subregion.
Afreximbank is also working with the Federal government of Nigeria to develop a centre of Excellency for medical tourism.
“There is Imo, Kano, Kaduna, Cross River, Kogi and other states we are also working with to develop various projects including railway.
“We are also in the creative industry to promote it.
“We have a facility of $1billion which we will set up this year. We are starting with Nigeria again as a pilot.
“In 2020, Afreximbank will focus more on government and private
sector to overcome some of the challenges encountered. We have a lot to do in Nigeria”.
