A group under the eagies of the Blue Resolution has blame President Muhammadu Buhari for politicizing Baro port.

Portable water,functioning healthcare facilities
“Baro town has no access road, electricity, portable water, functioning healthcare facility, spaces for any commercial activities befitting her, and no well-equip school”. He bemoem.
The Blue Resolution Initiative (TBRi) Secretary General, Ibrahim Akib Ja’afaru made the disclosure yesterday in a press conference held in Minna after the team and other youth leaders visited the site, described what the president commissioning as ‘a Warehouse and not a port’.
He said that it was discovered that no serious dredging of the River Niger took place if any was even done hence it was not intended for any big ship or vessels but barges of low or medium economic activities while urging the federal government to explained the true intentions of Baro Port to Nigerians
Ja’afaru have solicited for immediate revocation of the contract for the construction of the road from Agaie to Baro due to its substandard nature and re award it to a reputable construction firm who would dualized it to last for a taste of time, saying that the port commissioning was politically motivated.
He for questioned federal government seriousness over the project actualization but a lip service that has been politicized and regretted that the Niger state government never made its presence known in Baro making it a resolute town due to lack of access to good roads, electricity, portable water, health facility, equipped school and other essential services while appealing to state government to make it impact in Baro.
He lamented that seventeen months after the said commissioning of Baro Port by President Buhari it remain abandoned while engaging citizens and other stakeholders in the host state and Northern Nigeria to rise up to the calk in making the project a reality considering its economic, social and other benefits to the country.
Secretary General hinted that the group will not be deterred by efforts by some government organization to frustrate them like Nigerian Inland Waterways Agency, Lokoja who denied them access into the port by in situating that they were against the governments and President Muhammadu Buhari.
Ladies and gentle men, we received a shoking news from the village head that the Manager of Baro port has instructed the Port police not to allow us gain entrance to into the main port”. He lamented.
