The organisers of the reality TV show Big Brother Naija #BBNaija have finalised all arrangements to begin the long-awaited season 5 of the programme today Sunday 19th July 2020 at 9 pm west Africa time, and assured of adhering to the covid-19 protocols at advised by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
Though despite the new rules due to the global pandemic, the organisers said Ebuka Obi-Uchendu still remain the host.
Some of the new rules, according to #BBNaija are that guests are not allowed into the house to have physical contact with the housemate, the number of “ninjas will also reduce. All audiences live shows and evictions have been councils.
#BBNiaja also said that presenters will host Sunday live eviction shows in an empty studio, crossing live into the #BB House. They further said there must be daily temperature checks for all production crew and guests who want to come to the House.
Others are there would be regular cleaning and disinfection of the House and production facilities especially surfaces/objects that people use always, a team of psychologists and medical doctors will on standby to support the housemates and crew.
#BBNaija has last week announced a whopping sum of N85m as a grand prize for the 5th edition of the reality show. These include N30m cash prize, two-bedroom apartment, SUV from Innoson Motors, Trip to Dublin, trip to Dubai, Trip to watch the UEFA Champions League finale, Home appliances, One year supply of Indomie noodles, Munch it chin-chin and Colgate toothpaste, One year supply of Pepsi, Branded chiller, Brand new Oppo mobile smartphone.
Meanwhile, Big Brother has said that all the shortlisted Housemates have been tested for covid-19 and were quarantined for 14 days and when clear would be allowed into the House later at 7 pm today.
