G.M Taraba Vegetable Debunks Sacking Over 300 Staff

The General Manager, Taraba Vegetable (known as Green House) Mr. Jarfet Yakubu on Sunday debunked some media reports that the management of the farm sack over three hundred of its workers.
Jarfet who spoke to Blueprint during an exclusive interview in Jalingo said the staff strengt in the farm are not even up one hundred and fifty.
He stressed that few staff who were recently relieved of their jobs were those stealing crops from the farm.
He added that some staff of the farm were planning to run down the farm completely before they exposed them.
He maintained that the report that the increasing rate of insecurity currently been experienced in the state was as a result of the disengagement of service of the state agro company, the Taraba Green House was a blatant lie.
“Taraba has been witnessing insecurity before they were relieved of their jobs.
And I want state categorically that their disengagement has nothing to do with the security challenges facing the state ” he noted.

According to him, the disengagement of those bad eggs has brought peace and tranquility in the farm.
He highlighted that the farm was in the past losing over N3million revenues in three days due to stealing of crops among others.
