Canaan City FM Calabar, Commended For Promoting Indigenous Contents

Secretary to the Cross River state government, Barr Tina Banku Agbor has pledged to support the management of Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Canaan City Fm Calabar in its drive to develop and sustain local content in its programing.

Barr Agbor made the pledge in her office Wednesday in Calabar when the General manager of the station Mr Sam Nsor paid her a courtesy call.

She commended the station for introducing indigenous Boki language program which according to her will go a long way in promoting the use of dialect and afford the locals the opportunity to hear and appreciate the lofty achievements of the Ayade’s administration and other policies of government meant to improve the general well being of the people.

Earlier, the General manager of the station, Mr Sam Nsor said the visit was to enable him solicit the support of the SSG and the state government towards the success of its local content programming aimed at promoting indigenous language for effective dissemination of information on government policies, programs and actions.

He lauded the achievements of the present administration and sued for effective support and collaboration in this direction.
