The two unions in the electricity sector have called for a review of the privitisation process of the electricity sector.
The unions, National Union of electricity employees and the senior staff association of electricity and allied companies in a press conference in Abuja Monday, blamed the poor quality of service experiencing in the country on the fraudulent process of the privitisation.
Comrade Monday Johnson, Council secretary, TCN, NUEE Abuja who spoke onbehalf of the unions said contracts within the sector are still being awarded to unqualified individuals, without recourse to in-house capacity to address some of the challenges facing the sector.
He appealed to the new management of the transmission company of Nigeria (TCN) to work on blocking all the loopholes that give rise to corruption in the sector.
