The pension law stipulated that employers must remit to the Pensions Fund Administration seven days after payment of salaries.
Speaking during Employers Forum, organised by Trustfund Pensions for Pensions Desk Officers, Chief Complaince Officer of the organization, Mrs Recheal Obi said the forum was to deliberate on some of the issues that was associated with non compliance by employers.
“The forum is organised by the Complaince department of Trustfund and we brought these Pensions Desk Officer (PDOs) to talk on the issue of defaults in remittance.
“Sometimes you see the Personal Identification Number (PIN) of a particular employees under a different name, once you upload such information, it will bounce and the money will not enter the account of such employees”.
On the recently introduced Multi Funds Structure (MFS) introduced by Pencom, Mrs Obi said the programme was to give employees the freedom to choose where their funds can be invested.
She said MFS is categorized into four, adding that the higher the more the risk, the higher the investment and returns.
