Governor Abdullaui Sule of Nasarawa State has directed the management of Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital, DASH, Lafia to replace ailing and obsoletes equipment at the hospital with modern health facilities in order to meet the health need of the people.
He particularly directs that all the broken facilities in the hospital should be replaced to encourage patronage from members of the public.
Governor Sule gave the directive yesterday when he paid an unscheduled sallah visit to patients at the hospital, as well as to access state of facilities therein with a view to upgrade the hospital to global standard to addressing health challenges facing the people in the state.
The governor therefore expressed dismay over the state of facilities at the hospital and tasked the management of Dalhatu Araf Hospital of global best practices that will earn the hospital good name.
“When I visit the patients in their various wards, to know how they are doing especially in this sallah period and to also encourage them to have faith in God.
“I dicoverd that Some of the facilities are in very bad shape and locally we have some resources in side and we have given the management the go ahead to fix the hospital in good shape and to replace some of the broken facilities”.
He encourage the patients to know that God it is Good that provides help in all sitautions, and urged them to have faith in God for total healing.
Governor sule however has given a cash donation of one million naira to be shared among the patients in the hospital as their sallah gifts, thereafter the governor proceeded to the state hospital management board where he promised to upgrade the facilities at the general hospitals across the state to cushion the plight of the people.
