Pillot primary school Sabon Ginda, Kokona Local Government of Nasarawa State, is the only government primary school with a population of over 1000 pupils.
However, due to poor facilities, some parents are forced to take their children to private schools while the less privileged once are left with no choice.
Some of the teachers who pleaded anonymity told Peoplereporters that they suffered more during the rainy season.
According to them, once it about to rain we would have to close the school so that the children can go home since all the classes are leaking.
They appealed to Governor Abdullahi Sule to intervene as the situation forces parents to withdraw their children out of the schools.
One of the parents, Mallam Ali Dogara who spoke with our correspondent appealed to the state government and other good spirited individuals to come to their rescue by renovating the classrooms for the children.
