The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) Taraba State Branch on Saturday elected new executives to pilot the affairs of the union for the next four years.
The newly elected executives who were returned unopposed are Comrade Mohammed Usman as chairman, Comrade Glory Jacob as vice chairman, Comrade Emuity N. Ibrahim as Treasurer.
Others are Comrade Danjuma Nghare as Assistant Secretary, Comrade Priscilla Beauty Danjuma as Financial Secretary while Comrade Danladi Umar Yahaya was elected as assistant Financial Secretary
Also, Comrade Isa Iro Bose was returned as the Organising Secretary, Comrade Usman Ibrahim Nafindi as Publicity Secretary, Comrade Zakari Ali Yarafa as Legal Adviser and Comrade Hassan Abdullahi as Auditor.
Speaking at the Jalingo branch of Nigeria Bar Association, Venue of the election, one of the returning officer, Comrade Yahaya Santuraki Mohammed from the national secretariat of JUSUN, urge the new executives to priotise welfare of her members.
Comrade Santuraki Mohammed further advised members of union in the state to give the new leaders necessary support to take the union to a greater heights.
In his acceptance speech, the new chairman, Comrade Mohammed Usman while aplauding members of the union in the state for the trust repost in him, pledge to ensure the welfare of Judiciary Workers is improve.
He appealed to Governor Dickson Darius Ishaku to give accent to the Fund Management Law recently passed by the State Assembly so as ensure full autonomy of the State Judiciary.
The chairman in his efforts to ensure no stone is left unturn in meeting the yearnings of JUSUN members in state, appointed Comrade Musa Umar as ex-oficio and Comrade Grace Ahinna as Director of welfare.
