Good Governance: Nasarawa NUJ Embarks On Inspection Of Govt. projects
The Nasarawa State Chapter of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has commenced a good governance tour to assess the projects executive by Gov. Abdullahi Sule since inception in 2019.
The NUJ who started the tour on Friday with Nasarawa West Senatorial Zone, went round with a team of journalists from various national and local media organisations.
Speaking to the team of reporters before the take off for the tour on Friday in Lafia, Salihu Alkali, NUJ Chairman in the state said the essence is to promote developmental journalism as against the impression that journalists always like negative stories.

“It would afford our members to opportunity to see things for themselves and speak with beneficiaries of the projects.
“As you see the projects and interact with the benefiting communities, report same to the world what the governor is doing to improve the lives of the people of the state.
“It is not all the time that you write only about challenges and shortcomings, there is need for developmental journalism,” the NUJ Chairman added.
The team of includes journalists from prints, electronics as well as online media.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the tour would take the team three days.
