As the 2024 Hajj season approaches, Association of Hajj and Umrah Operators of Nigeria (AHUON) Abuja Zone , elected her new executive to pilot the affairs of the group for the next two years.
According to a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the group, Adamu Hassan Abdullahi said the new executive emerge at the bi-annual election to ensure a smooth smooth Hajj in 2024.
The statement further said Alhaji Usman Ambursa of Travel Express Abuja has been returned as Chairman Abuja Zone with Mansur Isah as Secretary, while Tijjani Bala Garo as Treasurer.
Other elected according to the statement are Habiba Rabiu Dabo as welfare and organizing Secretary, Adamu Hassan Abdullahi as Public Relations Officer and Alh. Ikrimah Muhammed as Deputy President of the zone
Also Alh. Tijjani Uba Waru was elected National Welfare Secretary and Alh, Muhammed Salau as National Legal Adviser.
In his acceptance speech, the Chairman Abuja Zone, Alh. Usman Ambursa applauded members for the understanding and peaceful conduct of the elections, pledging a purposeful leadership.
He noted that the welfare of customers who are intending pilgrims is of paramount importance as such, the leadership will ensure proper engagements with the National Hajj Commission and relevant stakeholders for a fair deal for all concerned.
The election was conducted under the leadership of Alh. Mansur Suleiman Tahir supported by Alh. Abubakar Usman of creative Travels as Secretary and Hajia. Maida Usman Garba as Member.
