Health workers under the eagles of Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU) and Assembly of Healt Care Professional Associations on directed her members in all Federal Health Institutions to return to work effective might of Thursday 31st October 2024
According to a communique jointly signed by JOHESU National chairman Comrade Kabiru Ado Sani Minjibir and National Secretary Comrade Martin Egbanubi , the group warned that they will not hesitate to proceed on a total and indefinite strike if government refuse to address the demands within 6 weeks
The communique came at the end of the expanded National Executive Council (NEC) of JOHESU.
The communique reads “The suspension of the 7-Day Warning Strike effective from midnight, Thursday, 31st October, 2024 in the spirit of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and in general public interest.
“Time line of six (6) weeks given to the Federal Government to meet all her obligations contained in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
“Expanded National Executive Council Meeting shall be convened upon the expiration of the six (6) weeks’ deadlines to review development and take appropriate decision.
“Indefinite strike action shall be the next option if the Expanded NEC of JOHESU is not satisfied with the Federal Government responses to the implementation of her obligations contained in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)”
