A senior staff of the Federal University of Lafia, Nasarawa State, Mrs Angelina Tyem has been killed by unknown gunmen in her home in Lafia, the State Capital.
Sources close to the family told PEOPLEREPORTERS that her decomposed body was found three days after with stabbed wounds, while her car, phone and other belongings where reportedly missing.
According to the sources, Mrs. Tyem neighbour who was perceiving offensive smells around the compound went round and found her back door open.

The neighbour who do not want her name on print disclosed that when she entered her room, since the door was opened, she discovered her lying lifeless on the bed with the stabbed wounds.

Speaking with the Police Public Relations Office of Nasarawa State Police Command, ASP Nansel Ramhel said there was no case of murder as the university staff was said to have died from hypertension.
According to him, the husband to the deceased was in his office and confirmed she was battling with high blood pressure.
ASP Ramhan further said ” all this report about stabbing are baseless and false. As we speak, the husband of the deceased just left my office this morning, I sent the family members to the division where the incident occurred, there was no case of stabbing or whatsoever, the family confirmed to the police that she was suffering with high blood pressure. When they took her to the hospital, the doctor confirmed her dead and was deposited in the morgue.

“Though investigation is still ongoing to unravel the cause of her death but there were no sign of violence or anything. They broke into the house to find her, so how did anyone came into the house that was locked and murder her?” Ramhel inquired.
