NECO Urges State Governments To Pay Outstanding Fees To Access Results

National Examinations Council (NECO) has appealed to state governments yet to pay the examination fees of their candidate to do so in the interest of educational development
A statement sign by NECO’s Head, Information and Public Relations Division, Azeez Sani, recalled that Wushishi had, on October 29, announced the release of the results of the 2021 SSCE for school- based candidates.
Mr Azeez Sani maintained that this would helped to facilitate the release of result of such candidates to enable them further their education with ease.
According to him all adhoc staff involved in the conducted of twenty twenty one Senior School Certificate Examination SSCE for School Based Candidates have been fully paid by NECO.
He however explained that the adhoc staff includes eighteen thousand two hundred and forty three Supervisors eight hundred and eighty seven Assistant Supervisors as well as sixty five thousand one hundred and fifty nine examiners.
It would be recalled that NECO Registrar and Chief Executives Prof Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi had on October 29 this year announced the release of the result of twenty twenty one SSCE for School Based Candidates
The Registrar/Chief Executive of NECO, Prof Dantani Wushishi, made an appeal to the governments concerned to off- set their bills while briefing newsmen yesterday in Minna, Niger State. He, however, declined mentioning the state governments in question.
The statement stated that, “the Council, however, appeals to state governments yet to pay the examination fees of their candidates who sat for the SSCE (Internal), to do so in order to facilitate the release of the result of such candidates.”
The Council further disclosed that all ad-hoc staff involved in the conduct of the 2021 SSCE has been fully paid by NECO “The ad-hoc staff includes 18,243 supervisors, 887 assistant supervisors and 65,159 examiners.
The payment which commenced last week has been concluded. “The management appreciates the invaluable contributions of the supervisors and examiners in the success story of the Council over the years, and reiterates its determination to strengthening the existing cordial relationship between them.
