FULafia Matriculates 600 PG Students
The Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) on Monday matriculated 600 Post Graduate students into various programmes at the institution.
Speaking at the event in Lafia, Nasarawa State capital, Prof. Shehu Abdul-Rahman, Vice Chancellor (VC) urged the students to shun cultism and malpractice of any form.
He said they should promote the good image of the institution, shun negative attitudes and pursue thier academics in peace.
He further said that the management of institution has zero tolerance for any form of misconduct and would not hesitate to sanction unpleasant behaviours.
He called on the students to be of good moral behaviors, concentrate on their studies in order to be fondly remembered by the university and achieve success in life.
He said that “FULafia is on the path to become the world class centre for excellence and be ranked among the top five universities in Africa,”
“Measures are being put in place to improve infrastructures, manpower and improve on standard to attain that feat,” he added.
He congratulated the students and told them to consider themselves lucky for gaining admission into one of the most inclusive universities in Nigeria.

He said: “Welcome to FULafia, where the authorities believe in, practice and encourage integrity, innovation and excellence.”
He, however, warned the students against laziness, truancy and all forms of indiscipline.
The VC assured the students of adequate security on the two campuses of the university and called on them to report any suspicious activities to authorities.
Prof. Abdul-Rahman reminded the students of the oath they took to be obedient to the constituted authority, urging them to be of good conduct throughout their stay in FULafia.
