Gov Wike Promise To End Banditry If Elected President

River State Governor and PDP Presidential aspirant Governor Nyelsom Wike has said he Will put banditry to an end if he is elected as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Wike made the promised on Saturday at PDD Secretariat Minna, Niger State while canvassing for votes regarding the forthcoming PDP National Delegate Conference slated for 28-29 May, 2022.
He challenged 98 Niger intending delegates to eschew politics of tribal, religion and geographical sentiment to ensure PDP return to power to restore Nigeria from the current insecurity.
“The only thing APC government gives you in Niger state is Bandits, if you elect me as president of this country and I will chase away the Bandits”.
He emphasized that Nigeria need a courageous leader, with clear vision that will protect the lives and properties of its citizens.
“We don’t need a Northern, Eastern, western, or Southern President but what we need is Nigerian President, a President that knows what is happening in the Country”
He emphasized that once there’s peace on the land, other infra structural development and food security will be guaranteed.
Responding on consensus candidate, the Presidential Aspirant said he believed those pushing for a Consensus candidate are not sincere, hilighting that “if it is based on equity fairness and justice I will accept it and support whoever emerges to ensure the party wins the forthcoming 2023 general elections in the country ”

Canvassing for the support of the 98 delegates from the state in the May 29th Presidential Convention of the Party as one of the party’s Presidential aspirants he said, “I will agree on consensus if it is based on equity, justice and fairness because as it is, those who are talking about consensus are not sincere because there is nothing like consensus in our party’s Constitution”
He however pointed out that “I have made myself available to run for the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria under the PDP. I have been a member of PDP since 1998, I have never left this party and I will not leave this party, no matter what anyone will do.
“Whoever emerges as the flagbearer, I will do whatever I can to ensure that the PDP wins the election”, he said.
Wike however maintained that Nigeria at this point in time needs a courageous and fearless leader, “someone who will say this is white and this is black, someone who is straightforward and committed to one Nigeria, not a sectional leader”.
He thereby enjoined the PDP members in the state not to be swayed by religious, sectional sentiments as hunger, Insecurity, do not know religion, tribe or region.
He pleaded with the delegates to give him their mandate in other for him to make Nigeria right again, saying, “Don’t let anyone come and deceive you. We are tired of lies. I will do what I did in Rivers State in Nigeria. I am here to match the APC in whatever they bring. If you give me the ticket, APC should start packing their load because they know it is over for them”.
The Rivers State Governor ,Mr. Nyesom Wike said “I will be the President for the poor and I will be a man who keeps his promises because the worth of a gentleman is his words”, adding that, “Rivers State is a testimony to what I can do to transform Nigeria”.
In his opening remarks at the occasion, the Chairman, Niger state chapter of the PDP, Barr. Tanko Beji said, that the PDP Presidential Primary will be a make or mar convention, stressing, that every member who loves PDP must strive to do what is right.
He however advocated the need for the party to change its reward system whereby those who are loyal to the party should be rewarded handsomely while those who are disloyal are punished.
Beji said that the PDP members will not be deceived anymore, saying, “it is only those who will do the right thing that would get their support”.
He thereby commended Governor Wike for his immense contributions to the peace and stability of the party in the state, adding that “the Niger state PDP will not forget you in a hurry, you stood for the truth, you were with us when we needed you and one good turns deserves another”.
