Group Appeal To Gov. Sule To Construct Tattara-Panda Road In Karu

Nyankpa Development Association (NDA) has appealed to Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State to construct Tattara-Panda road in Karu Local Government Area (LGA) given its proximity to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.
Mr Ojikpa Alem, National President of NDA made the call while given his acceptance address after their inauguration on Saturday at Panda area of Karu LGA of Nasarawa State.
According to him the road construction which was supposed to open up the are was started by the state govt around 2010 and abandoned afterward.
According to the National President of NDA, lack of access road to the headquarters of Panda Development Area had led to avoidable accident, made transportation of farm products almost impossible, as as well as made access to health facilities difficult.
Alem also appealed to the Federal Government (FG) to establish more security presence in the area to curtail the activities of kidnappers and other criminal elements in the area.
Speaking about relative peace being enjoyed in the area now, the President commended President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Abdullahi Sule for their practical steps, but said they do more.

On his plans as he takes over the leadership of his people, the President promised to work towards unity, attract development to the area and ensure employment of its people among others.
On his part, David Maiyaki, Member representing Karu/Gitata at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly lauded Odyong Nyankpa, Joel Aninge, Traditional ruler of the area for his peace efforts.
The Assembly Member also appealed to the government to construct the road to open the area to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja and Keffi LGA.
He also appealed to FG to ensure serious development in Karu because majority of workers in Abuja are residence of the area.
He said medical facilities, schools and other facilities in Karu LGA are overstretched because of high population.
Given his Royal blessings, Odyong Nyankpa, Joel Aninge commended his people for smooth transition from one administration to the other.
The Odyong Nyankpa who is the Chairman of Traditional Council of Panda, promised to collaborate with the new officials to ensure peace, unity and progress of the area.
The highlight of the occasion includes conferment of traditional tittles by the royal father to the deserving sons and daughters of the area who had distinguished themselves in different sectors.
