Mr Jeremiah Umaru (APC), House of Representatives Member representing Akwanga/Nassarawa-Eggon/Wamba Federal Constituency of Nasarawa State has offer to pay the medical bills of Mr Shedrach Yakubu from Wamba Local Government Area (LGA) to undergo plastic surgery.
Mr Yakubu has been battling with proposed cancer for more than three years without visiting the hospital for treatment for lack of money.
Speaking to newsmen on Friday in Wamba LGA, the lawmaker said he was pained when he saw the condition of Yakubu.
“I saw his health condition when I paid condolence visit over the District Head of Gitta (Hakimi Gitta) at Gitta Electoral Ward of Wamba LGA recently.
“I was deeply touched when he saw him seating outside the family compound of the deceased District Head with a little child beside him and in a painful condition.
“He has been living in this condition for more than three years because his family could not afford the medical expenses,” he added.
The lawmaker said he has already taken him to Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Keffi and is currently receiving treatment.
He therefore promised to take care of all the expenses throughout the period of the treatment in Keffi. (NAN).
