
UNICEF Vaccinate Over 1,000 Children, Women In Taraba Community

A total of 1, 000 children and women were over the weekend vaccinated of child killer and other related diseases in Jegam Yappai romote community in Lau local government area of Taraba state.
A Resident of the community, mama Sanva Bonzewe while speaking during the vaccination cried out that their community over decades has no single medical facility.
She added that most of their children have not been vaccinated due to the difficulty nature their community.
“Because of the way this our community is, it been difficult for us access antenatal when we are pregnant” she said.
Sanva, who praised the United Nations Children’s Education Fund UNICEF (UNICEF) for assisting health experts with motorcycles that aided health care workers to access their community for Routine Immunisation and other free medical services lamented that government has over the years abandoned their community.
