The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) has summoned an emmergency meeting of Central Working Committee (CWC) of the union for Wednesday 30th January,2019 to deliberate on the current happening in the Judiciary.
National President of JUSUN Comrade Marwan Mustapha Adamu in a statement said the union would take a stand after the meeting.
He described the situation in the Judiciary, an arm of government as unfortunate, and insisting that the independent of Judiciary as enshrined in the constitution is non negotiable.
The Union last week put her members on red alert following the allegations level against Justice Walter Onnoghen.
President Buhari on Friday suspended Justice Walter Onnoghen, and sworn in Justice Tanko Mohammed as the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria.
The appointment meet mixed reaction with those in support and against, quoting constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
