A former Appeal Court Judge and Chairman, Nasarawa State Council of Chiefs, Justice Sidi Bage I has revealed that only indolents and those allien to the law and legal profession could crash halfway of their career.
Justice Bage made the revelation yesterday when the association of law students of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi honoured him in a Law Dinner 2019 in Keffi.
He advised the learning and learned colleagues to have a dream of what they want to attain in life, saying that, only those who work hard and pray to almighty can succeed in line of their dreams.
“If you are trying to be lawyers, there is no indolent amongst the lawyers and those who of them that are indolent are often aliens to the law profession.
“Where you see a person very successful in the law or legal profession, he must be a very hard working person,” Justice Bage said.
He urges the graduates students of law, the learning and practicing lawyers to learn work very hard and to keep their dreams alive.
The jury who is the Emir of lafia noted that only those who want to achieve their goal can translate their dreams into reality, adding that hard work does not kill, but make one better.
The vice Chancellor, Nasarawa State University Keffi, Professor Sulieman Bala-Mohammed said that he would not condone any act of impunity and arbitrariness in the governing of the university.
According to the Bala-Mohammed “I want to use this opportunity to assure you that the management of the university under my watch will be guided by the rule of law and the principle of accountability and transparency.
“This tenants will be sacrosanct in the governing of the university”, the VC added.
Governor Abdullahi Sule who was represented by the solicitor general and permanent secretary, Ministry of Justice, Ishaku Usman urged students to take their studies serious.
He said, this is imperative because the labour market is saturated but their is always a role and a room for the hardworking.
The president, Law Students Association, Farouk Tanko Tunga said, the law dinner 2019 in honour of Justice Sidi Bage was to acknowledge his contributions to the Justice system.
He said, the dinner which was the 9th inline with the tradition of the legal profession, urged his mates. to be meticulous in their dealings.
