The Presidential petition election tribunal, seating in Abuja is set to deliver judgment on a petition filed by Atiku Abubakar and the PDP challenging the declaration of Muhammadu Buhari of the APC as Nigerian President by INEC. Recall that after the conduct of the 2019 presidential election, Atiku headed to court on the premise that the election was marred with irregularities, that Buhari lacked the academic qualifications to contest for the said election as enshrined in the Nigerian constitution and also alleging that from the data he obtained from the purported INEC sever, he was on the lead with a large margin that should have swung the result in his favour. The legal battle that started in May 2019 is hoped to come to a logical conclusion today. Stay with us as we bring you updates of the proceedings.
