The United Labour Congress of Nigeria, ( ULC ), Kogi state council has condemn the attack on Tawari community in Kogi local government area of the state, on the 2nd of January, this year, by terrorists.
According to a statement by Chairman of ULC in the state, Comrade Opaluwa Eleojo described as cawardice “the activity of those blood thirsty criminal elements who could not express their grievance, if any, through the most civilised means, but decided to unleash terror on innocent Nigerians, when the members of the community were at sleep”.
While commending the state government for her quick response, by fortifying the area with security, and the supply of relief materials, the labour leader also call on the security agencies in the state, to increase their intelligence network, so as to nib in the bud such occurrence in the future.
The congress also sympathize with the people of Tawari community and urged security apparatus to bring the perpatratorswe to book
