Episode 2: _Oral Sex: The Negative Health Implications
Oral sex is the stimulation of genitals or sexual activity that involves the use of the tongue, lips, teeth, throat or the entire surfaces of the mouth. It can be performed in the vagina (cunnilingus), penis (fellatio) or anus (anilingus).
Although the practitioners of this form of sexual behaviour often claim to have enjoyed it, this pose some great negative implications to their oral health amongst which are sexually transmitted infections/diseases such as Oral gonorrhea, Oral thrush, Oral cancer, Cervical cancer, Herpes, Chlamydia, Hepatitis, Genital warts and even HIV.
Oral sex practitioners therefore stand a chance of introducing pathogenic microorganisms into their mouths which may create imbalance (dysbiosis) in their normal oral microbiome as such, destroying their oral cavity and other parts of the body.
