The Senator representing Cross River Central Senatorial district Sen. Sandy Onor Saturday donated the sum of #2million to the victims of the Ikom Market fire incident.
The Lawmaker donated the money when he visited the scene of the Ikom market fire incident to commiserate with the victims. He reassured his Ikom constituents of his sincere commitment to his campaign promises.

The Chairman of Ikom Main Market Traders Union, Comrade Emmanuel Odigha thanked the Senator for his kind gesture and for being the first official to come and sympathize with the victims of the sad occurrence.

In the same spirit of solidarity, Mr. Kingsley Egumi, Chairman of Ikom Local Government Council also thanked the Distinguished Senator for showing such an uncommon leadership and the gesture shown to the victims of the fire incident.
The Council Boss also urge other good spirited individuals and corporate entity to assist the victims of the fire disaster so that they can return to the market. He also urges the Governor of Cross River, Prof Ben Ayade to rebuild the market
