The National Assembly election petition tribunal sitting in Calabar, recently upheld and concretised the election of Sen, Dr Sandy Onor as the duly elected Senator to represent Cross River Central Senatorial district at the red chambers. Recall that after the 2019 National Assembly election, Sen Victor Ndoma Egba and his party, the APC challenged the victory of the catapilar pioneer at the tribunal. To watchers of political happenings in the state and country at large, the victory song of Sen Sandy did not come as a surprise as the orator of the 9th Assembly have bulldozed the political landscape enough to deserve the Odes even from the wild winds. The constituents of this diplomat turned politician, could not have desired a better representative than this soft speaking, pragmatic and words bonded man. While the people in grooves continue to celebrate this tribunal verdict they term as both victory for the masses and democracy, it is hoped that the distinguished Senator will live up to expectations by attracting the needed dividence of democracy to the people. It is also believed that they will be a paradigm shift from the look-warm and lakadesical attitudes that had characterized previous epochs. The rural dwellers remains very optimistic that constituency projects will be implemented so as to bring about even development that have been lacking at the grass root. Until these and many is brought to bear, it is not yet Uhuru for Cross River Central Senatorial district. God bless Sen Sandy Onor. God bless Cross River State. God bless Nigeria.
