Former Minister of State for FCT, Senator Solomon Ewuga has denied dumping the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
Speaking exclusively with PeopleReporters, Ewuga said those spreading such lies are his political opponents who are bent on tarnishing his image.
He said the only thing that happened was that the Governor of Nasarawa state, Alhaji Tanko Almakura appointed him as leader of 2018 Christian Pilgrimages to Jerusalem, Israel.
Ewuga told PeopleReporters that he is qualify for the appointment, adding that he is not even going to Jerusalem as he has nominated Joseph Mathew to represent him.
Speaking on his appointment as leader of Christian Pilgrimages to Jerusalem, Israel, the former Minister said ” I am entitled to it, I have the capacity to get anything I want from anybody including the president.
“The president has visited me twice in the village, I have a relationship with him that is why I don’t take it likely to people who talk carelessly.
“So the rumors of defecting to APC are not true but blatant lies by my political distracters, I am urging my supporters and the general public to disregard such lies.
“Everyone must also know that I’m not standing for any election but working in PDP for all our candidates”.
It would be recalled that Governor Almakura had on Friday through the Executive Secretary of the Christian Pilgrimage Board, Musa Oloko, on Friday confirmed the appointment of Ewuga to lead the state Pilgrimages to Jerusalem.
Ewuga, who was represented by an aide, Joseph Mathew, expressed gratitude to the governor for finding him worthy of the appointment.
He promised to render exemplary service, and cautioned the pilgrims against actions that could embarrass the state.
Ewuga specifically appealed to pilgrims, who had plans to abscond while in Israel, to drop the idea as anyone involved would be deported and sanctioned.
