2023: Women Begins Door-to-Door Campaign For Tinubu, Gov. Sule
A women group under the auspices Door-to-Door has begun a door-to-door campaign for the election of Bola Tinubu, Presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) and Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State ahead of the forthcoming general election.
Speaking at the campaign on Thursday at Maoro Electoral Ward of Akwanga Local Government Area (LGA), Larai Makpu-Ishaya, leader of the group said the campaign was to ensure that the governor win his reelection landslide.
The women leader said the campaign was to canvas support for Tinubu and to ensure the re-election bid Gov. Sule for second term in office.
She added that Tinubu had performed credibly well while he served as the governor of Lagos state from 1999-2007.
“Tinubu has been tested and can be trusted to perform the magic he did in Lagos, even without allocation for some time from the Federal Government” she added.
The leader of the group who is also a Personal Assistant (PA) to the governor, also said that Gov. Sule of Nasarawa State had given priority to security and created an enabling environments in the last three years of his administration.
“We have started at Maoro electoral ward today, we will move to another ward until we cover the entire electoral wards in the state,” she added.
She appealed to those who are yet to collect their PVCs to use the extended period and do so in order to be able to vote during the elections.
She therefore appealed to the people in the area to vote massively for candidates of APC in all elections for sustainable development at all levels.
On their parts, Mrs Elsie Monde, Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Women Matters and Mrs Hadiza Victor,
leader of Frontline women politician in Akwanga described Sule as God fearing leader who deserves second term.
They noted that, voting back the party will improve the peaceful coexistence and sustain the gains of democracy in the state and the country at large.
The group had so far visited Anjida, Gudi, Agyaga, Nunku, Nighaah, Andaha and Gwanje electoral wards in Akwanga LGA.
