The Niger State Commissioner for Health and Hospital Services, Dr. Mohammed Makusidi has disclosed that about 64-almajiris children have been recovered fully from Covid-19 and reunited with their families.
Dr. Makusidi while speaking with Journalists in Minna the state capital said out of the 1075 almajiris that tests positive for the coronavirus pandemic, 64 have been discharged from the treatment centre.

He said, “as we have said earlier, the has so far gotten 166 positive covid-19 cases including almajiris. 1075 almajiris were tested out of which 64 returned positive. However, the good news is that they have all recovered and are now reunited with their families”.
According to him, those of them who are not indigenes of the state have been repatriated to their various stages of origin to be with their families.

Makusidi said that 1778 people have so far been tested in the state out of which 166 are covid-19 positive, adding that, ” as at today, we do not have any patient in our isolation centres because we have discharged most of them while few others have been transferred out for more medical attention”.
He said that the state will soon overcome challenges in testing with the completion of the multi-purpose testing laboratory being built in Minna.
He appealed to people to always report all deaths so that the dead can be subjected to covid-19 tests for the safety of family members and the public in general.
