2023: Nasarawa PDP Governorship Candidate Promises To Tackle Insecurity
Ahead of the forthcoming general election, Mr David Ombugadu, Nasarawa State gubernatorial candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2023 election has promised to give topmost priority to tackling the insecurity if elected.
Ombugadu made the promise on Sunday at Obi Local Government Area (LGA) of the state during the continuation of the statewide campaign ahead of the general election.
The PDP governorship flag bearer said that the number one responsibility of government is protection of lives and property and any government that cannot protect the people has fail.
He claimed that the people from different communities in the state are being attacked, killed and kidnapped daily, but the present government still claims that they are doing well in security.
“Farmers in some communities can hardly go to their farms and people cannot longer travel to all part of the state anytime like it used to be.
“If I become the governor, we will collaborate with the security agencies and deploy technology to address the insecurity and ensure that the state is serve for all to go about their activities without fear,” the PDP candidate added.

The candidate also said that if elected in 2023, he would liaise with the Federal Government to expedite action to begin exploration of crude oil in the area.
Ombugadu therefore called on the people to vote for all PDP candidates for good governance with priority in the welfare of its citizens.
Similarly, Mr Labaran Maku, Former Minister of Information and Director General (DG) of PDP Campaign decried the rate of kidnapping and other criminal activities in the state.
Maku explained that four children of Doma LGA Chairman of PDP Chairman were recently kidnapped and are still with the kidnappers.
The campaign DG called on Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State to use the security vote being provided every month to secure the people and the state.
The Former Information Minister called on the people to vote for PDP candidates from President to House of Assembly and promised that thier party would tackle insecurity and improve the welfare of the citizens.
Francis Orogu, State PDP Chairman supported by Labaran Maku, Director General of the campaign and other party stalwarts presented the governorship and other candidates vying for various elective positions in the area to the people.
