NECXUS is a Nigerian online social media and social networking service company based in Jos and Nasarawa State. It will be launched officially in November 2018, by Andrew Azomema Emmanuel Alu (Necxus), along with fellow NSUK student Daniel Ridan Maigona, and other Major Sponsors, Moses John Esson etc.
NECXUS was initially thought to be limited to the membership of Nasarawa State University Keffi. But ideas and advice from users suggest expansion. NECXUS was coined from the Nick name of the Founder ‘Necxus’ and the word ‘Nexus’ (Connections…)
NECXUS can be accessed from a large range of devices with Internet connectivity, such as desktop computers, laptops and tablet computers, and smartphones. After registering, users can create a customized profile indicating their name, occupation, schools attended and so on. Users can add other users as “friends”, exchange messages, post status updates, share photos, videos and links, use various software applications (“apps”), and receive notifications of other users’ activity. Additionally, users may join common-interest user groups organized by workplace, school, hobbies or other topics, and categorize their friends into lists such as “People from Work” or “Close Friends”. Additionally, users can report or block unpleasant people.
When launched, users can register using Facebook or Twitter, as it possess features similar to that of facebook and Twitter.
